Last April 15th 2013 was published in El Periódico de Catalunya newspaper, the article "Metamorphosis of Sant Antoni" about Sant Antoni Market in Barcelona. This project was developed by ESTEYCO, who also is in charge of the Works Technical Assistance Management.

El pasado 25 de abril de 2013 Financiera de Desarrollo Territorial (Findeter) convocó el foro ‘Hacia Dónde va Cartagena -Visión estratégica’ en el que Carlos García Acón, Director General de Esteyco, participó con la ponencia ¿Cómo lo hizo Barcelona? Explicando el cambio en las infraestructuras desde la Barcelona Olímpica hasta la actualidad.

Carlos García Acón aprovechó para anunciar que el próximo libro de la Fundación Esteyco 2013 tendría como escenario Cartagena de Indias.

Javier Rui-Wamba, President and Founder of Esteyco and Esteyco Foundation, has been awarded the Medal of Honour of the Professional Association of Civil Engineers in recognition of his outstanding work in the service of the profession.

The award ceremony will take place next 6th June, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Agustín Betancourt’s Auditorium in the Professional Association of Civil Engineers, Madrid.

A new junction and toll booth area in AP-7 Motorway, located in West Girona – Sant Gregori and connecting with GI-531 road, was inaugurated last 26 of March, 2013. This project, promoted by Abertis motorways and drafted by Esteyco, is framed within the AP-7 motorway extension in order to improve the road’s capacity and, therefore, offer better conditions to motorway users.
Additionally, Esteyco’s project includes the construction of two new junctions and toll booth areas, Fornells and Vilademuls, which are nowadays in process of execution. These new three junctions, together with those existing in South and North Girona, form Girona’s Bypass Project, through the AP-7 motorway, in which the N-II route is integrated, thus creating a 4-line configuration along these 20 kilometres.

The construction of these 460 houses is part of two projects in which Esteyco is participating actively. Main actions will be carried out in Las Glorias area, including a 13-storey tower next to the National Theater of Catalonia, and in La Marina del Prat Vermell, between Paseo de la Zona Franca and the new Gran Vía trade fair park, promoted by the Barcelona City Council. Sabadell Bank considers that these projects are viable since the stock of new houses is increasingly small in Barcelona.
